Recipe: Grilled Asian Turkey Burgers

by Megan

Some friends and I always get together for a cook-out on Memorial Day weekend. I’ve still got some time to decide on what I want to make, so I wanted to try out a few recipes. Since I’ll be hosting this year, I decided to try something different and grill some turkey burgers.  I’m going to try out the recipe below this weekend.

Do you have any good grilling recipes?  Let me know – I’m still on the search!

Yield: 6 burgers

Ingredients:
1 cup fresh button mushrooms (chopped)
½ cup water chestnuts (chopped)
½ cup scallions (chopped)
½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon fresh ginger (minced)
1 ½ teaspoons fresh garlic (minced)
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 ¼ lbs. ground turkey

Instructions:
1. Combine soy sauce, ginger, garlic and cayenne pepper in small bowl.
2. Add turkey to large mixing bowl and stir in soy mixture and other ingredients until well blended.
3. Form into six patties, spray with olive oil to prevent sticking and grill.
