Coach Sarah's Favorite (Socially Distant) Summer Activities

by Sarah
The summer of 2020 might look a little different than summers we are used to. Social distancing has become a prevalent part of our lives which makes it tough to do the activities we love and see the people that we love even more.

Here are some of my favorite summer activities that can be done while social distancing:

Kayaking

I’ve said it before, kayaking is one of my favorite summer activities! Being on the open water is not only good exercise, but also helps calm my mind. You can kayak and socially distance at the same time so this is a great activity to do with others who also kayak.

Puppy Play Date

Just like humans need social interaction, so do their pups! Having a puppy play date can help your doggo get some extra exercise and social time while their owners can also socially distance and catch up on life.

Campfires

Typically people cozy up around a campfire, but that isn’t the case this summer. Hosting or attending a campfire can be a way to meet up with friends or relatives while still sitting apart from each other.

Personal Picnics

Similar to campfires, having a picnic is a good way to stay social. The intention of a “personal” picnic is that each guest brings their own chair or blanket, and food and beverages and hang out. That way everyone has their own space as well as their own picnic items.

These are just a few of my favorites, and I’m sure you have found a few activities of your own as well.

Hope you are having a wonderful (socially distant) summer!

Be Well,
Sarah
