Coach Melissa's Summer Favorites

by Melissa
Even with the global pandemic, just being able to get outside has been so nice! Social distancing is not as hard when you have the great outdoors!

Here are a few things that I've been loving this summer.

The Chippewa River

There is nothing like being on the river. Whether I'm out on my boat or relaxing along the shore, its been such a treat to spend time by the water.

Of course, practicing water safety is key too.  Just last weekend, I saw someone swim out to retrieve a ball that had floated away.  They got caught in a strong current and had to be saved by another boat. So, while it is great to be on the water, if you do, please be sure to stay aware and stay safe!

Sticky Finger Chicken

I tried this recipe and let me tell you, it is hands down my favorite way to eat chicken or tofu!

I put it on a salad with spring mix, cucumber, tomato, grilled corn, peas, and red onion and then drizzle some ranch over the top! Give it a try!

Applesauce Pouches

I have a two-year-old and I am pretty sure his favorite past time is eating.  He is always asking for a “nack” (snack).

I recently purchased a box of Tree Top applesauce pouches. I love that they are easy to pack, easy to open and very little mess.  They also come in a bunch of flavors, so he never gets sick of them!

Spiral Hair Ties

I was late to hop on the Spiral Hair Tie bandwagon, but I really wish I would have gotten on much sooner!

I love these because I feel like they damage my hair way less than normal hair ties, and they are easy to throw my hair up into a messy bun! I hardly lose them either, so they are well worth the money!
