Knuckle Lights?

by Megan

When I exercise outside in the morning it’s often before the sun rises, therefore I make sure to wear a safety vest and a headlight. With the headlight I still have a hard time seeing at times so I was looking for an alternative. When searching online, I stumbled across these Knuckle Lights and got really excited!

These LED lights come in pairs and are meant to be worn, as you can probably guess by their name, across your knuckles. Now, I’m sure I could get the same effect by carrying two large flashlights, but who wants to drag those around on their run... Or when you’re walking the dog! Now, these also aren’t cheap. They are $39.99 - which is significantly more than what I paid for my headlight - but I did also just complain that I couldn’t see enough with that light. Not only do I want to see well, I want cars on the road to see me too! The website says each of these lights have 45 Lumens (which, let’s face it, means nothing to me - I don’t know anything about lumens). As I read I learned lumens are a measure of light, so the higher the number the better.
I have tried many different products in my workouts, but I'd have to say this may be the strangest...or may be the most inventive. Have any of you heard of these lights or used them? Are they worth the forty bucks or have you found an alternative way to light up your exercise?
