Staying Active on a Snowy Day

by Sarah

Are you looking to try a new outdoor activity without the commitment of purchasing the equipment? Here are a few local places to check out if you want to try skating, skiing or snowshoeing this winter!

Beaver Creek Reserve

This Eau Claire reserve includes over 400 explorable acres! They offer cross-country skis and snowshoe rentals which are perfect for a day out with friends or family. There is a small trail fee if you are not a member of the reserve, but it's worth it in the long run to get outside in the fresh winter air!

Spring Street Sports

Located in downtown Chippewa Falls, Spring Street Sports is a great place to rent skiing, snowshoe or even biking equipment. Items can be rented by the day, and you are able to add additional rental days if you would like to rent them for a longer period of time.

Riverside Bike and Skate

Located on Water St in Eau Claire, Riverside Bike and Skate offers skate rentals for only $10.00 per day!

Erik's--Bike, Board, Ski

Looking to rent kid's equipment for the duration of winter, or don't want to buy them items that they may outgrow? Erik's in Eau Claire offers leasing of their junior skiing and snowboarding equipment so that kids can use quality equipment for the entire season without committing to purchasing items they may outgrow by next season. What a great idea!

Staying active during the winter months is important for not only our physical well-being, but also our mental well-being. I hope you are able to get out and about this winter and try a new outdoor activity!

Be Well,

Sarah
