A question I get quite often is “what do you snack on?” I, just like everyone else, struggle to always make great decisions when it comes to snacking. However, I find that if I keep healthy options on hand, I am much more likely to choose something healthy and nourishing for my body, rather than something with empty calories that will just leave me feeling sluggish and yucky.
Here are a few items that I love to snack on!
Rice Cake with Avocado
- 2 lightly salted rice cakes
- 1/2 of an avocado
- 3 tsp. hot sauce
Total Calories: 194
Mash up some avocado on each rice cake, and add hot sauce to that!
Saltine Crackers and Peanut Butter
- 6 saltine crackers
- 1 Tbsp. All Natural Peanut Butter
- Apple slices
Total Calories: 245
Apply peanut butter to each saltine and microwave for 25 seconds to soften the peanut butter (personal preference). Eat your saltine with apple slices for a sweet and salty crunch!
Peppers and Greek Yogurt Dip
- 1 sliced bell pepper
- Litehouse - Opa Greek Yogurt Feta Dill Dip

- Valley Popcorn (I buy the gigantic bags at Woodmans)

- Cucumbers and Hummus
