Indoor Workout Ideas

by Melissa
With the winter months looming and the cold settling in, now is a great time to start thinking about how you will transition your outdoor exercise to indoors! Here are a few tips to set yourself up for success!

Pick a designated workout space

Find an area in your home that can be dedicated to exercise.  Clean out an area that you would like to use and set it up so that you are comfortable, you have enough space and it is somewhere that is inviting.

Stock up

Utilize Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist for deals on workout equipment.  I see reasonable priced barely used workout equipment for sale all the time!

Pick your workouts

Whether you like to DIY your workouts or follow along on a plan, think about what you want to accomplish over the winter months and write it down.  I recommend putting it all on a paper calendar and hanging that calendar in your workout space, that way you will always have your workout planned and you can check it off as you go to hold you accountable.

Working out at home can be extremely rewarding, time saving and money saving.  Committing to your goals is a huge motivator.  Tell your family what your goals are so they can help hold you accountable as well.
