After having a baby in January, I understand the frustrations of not being able to go places, not seeing loved ones in person and trying to keep a positive outlook. It is very important to take care of our mental health during these chaotic times.
We all have had a time in our lives where we had to work on our mind to help our body. Many problems stem from having poor mental health. I hope these ideas can help you get through the tough times!
Below are some of my favorite things for both my body and mind.
My Favorite Workouts
HIIT workouts by Yvette Bachman on YouTube
These are completely FREE! She has so many to choose from it is hard for me to find one. The types of workouts include strength training, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), cardio kickboxing, and step cardio. Some will need equipment. However, she offers many EQUIPMENT FREE workouts that you can do right in your living room.
So turn on your favorite tunes and find a workout that is right for you!
My Favorite Podcast
“You Can Sip With Us” on Spotify or iTunes
This podcast features two best friends in their 30s, Ashlie and Colleen, who sip wine as they talk about random topics. I recommend this podcast because I laugh hysterically every single episode. It is a great part of my week that I always look forward to! Some of their content includes great advice for moms, beauty product reviews, celebrity drama, what to watch reviews for Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon, and so many others!
Their content is not for everyone. There are some episodes with explicit words, which should be noted next to the title of the episode. If you find this one is not for you, I challenge you to find a podcast that is better suited for you. Podcasts are a great way to get your mind off the stresses of life for 30-60 minutes and laugh a little. Because sometimes a little laughter is all we need.
My Favorite Drink
Bubbl’r Antioxidant Sparkling Water found locally at Woodman’s
Not Bubly sparkling water, this is a different one!
I am all in for a good sparkling water and this one is the best one I’ve found! Bubbl’r has an amazingly sweet taste for having only 5 calories and no added sugar. However, my favorite part about it is the natural caffeine. It has 70mg of natural caffeine, which is equivalent to a cup of coffee, for a great energy boost. My favorite flavor is “Twisted Elix’r”, which is a mix of lime, raspberry, and citrus flavors. I usually drink this near the end of a long day to keep me going and fill my sweet tooth craving!
