Coach Sarah’s January Favorites

by Sarah

January can be a yucky month here in Wisconsin – cold, snowy weather and short daylight hours can really be a drag. There is still a lot to like about January and here are a few things that I look forward to.

New Holiday Gifts

The holiday gift-giving is over and it’s time to enjoy what you received! This year I received an InstantPot Pressure Cooker for Christmas and I’m excited to see what it can do. I have only made one recipe so far (venison steaks, potatoes, and carrots), but my next mission is to try some chicken and sweet potatoes. Hopefully more recipe recommendations will be coming to you soon!

New Planner

If you’ve read any of my other blogs about staying organized or motivated, you know that I love writing down to-do lists, goals, and planning ahead. In January I get to start writing down items in my new planner. It is a weird thing to be excited about, but it’s the little things that can make a person happy!

Out with the Old

January is the perfect time to declutter, donate, or dispose of items that I no longer need or have use for. My closet seems to be bursting at the seams with some items I haven’t worn in a long time! Also, my hallway closet and junk drawer could use some attention. The winter months are the perfect time to give yourself a fresh start through decluttering and donation.

Happy New Year! Wishing you good health and happiness ahead!
