Best Ice Bucket Challenge Video Yet

by Joanna

Have you seen the Ice Bucket Challenge?  How could you not – it’s EVERYWHERE!  It’s a campaign to raise awareness and money for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).  As of Thursday, August 21, 2014, the ALS Association has received $41.8 million (and counting) in donations compared to $2.1 million during the same time period last year with more than 700,000 new donors, according to the ALS Association website.  Talk about successful!

Celebrities are getting in on the action: Oprah, Bill Gates, Justin Timberlake, Steven Spielberg and even former president George W. Bush.  The best, without a doubt, that I’ve seen is Paul Bissonnette, professional hockey player for the Arizona Coyotes.  His involves a helicopter and glacier ice water, all set to music.  Watch it here.

The best part of Bissonette’s video is that it only cost $175 to make AND they donated $1000 to ALS.

And then there’s the fails. I’m not going to post it here, but if you search “22 People Who Should Have Definitely Not Taken The Ice Bucket Challenge”, I’m sure you’ll find it.

Lastly, check out my past blog about ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.  And when you see the video of Aaron Rodgers doing the Ice Bucket Challenge, let me know where I can find it!
